Annual Conference 2007.

The Lake Michigan Interleague Organization - representing sixty League of Women Voters Chapters in the Lake Michigan watershed met Oct. 5th & 6th,
At the Illinois Beach Resort and Conference Center,
Illinois Beach State Park in Zion.
Following Minutes, Treasurer's Report and Bylaws Update - discussions were held on:
Convening a Committee to determine who is monitoring industrial discharge permits
The Board was directed by the Membership to proceed to create a structure/mechanism to enable all 8 Great Lake States, and possibly 2 Canadian Provinces, to act in a concerted manner and, with LWVUS permission, speak for Great Lakes rather than merely Lake Michigan issues.
The Board was directed by the Membership, and subsequently voted to approve, establishing a designated account with LWVUS Education Fund in order to accept donations and to facilitate seeking grant funding.
